The Cold War fought its battles in the shadows of Berlin. Leave the center of town and head east to explore Berlin’s former Soviet Sector and learn about life behind the Iron Curtain. This guided walking tour lasts 3 hours and is limited to a group size of 9.

Description:
Beginning near the Brandenburg Gate at 2:30pm, this walking tour will take you on an exploration of East Berlin to reveal how the city’s former Soviet sector became the front line of the Cold War. Trace the path of the Berlin Wall and discover the lives of those who lived behind the Iron Curtain. Head to the embassies of the major Cold War powers, visit the Palace of Tears, and learn how the Stasi, the largest spy network the world has ever seen, kept an entire population under observation for 40 years.
