Engage in the story of Calgary’s Mavericks – indigenous people, pioneer settlers and today’s leading edge culinary innovators – as you dine at some of the city’s best restaurants and explore Inglewood’s specialty shops. This event includes a sit down two course lunch, knife and spice demos and four other tastings that reveal Alberta’s signature foods. Guests will toast the city’s “Maverick Spirit” and leave with food mementos. Your food, beverages, tips and taxes are taken care of. Wear your stretchy pants.

Description:
Meet your tour leader at Moonstone Creation Native Art Gallery in this historic foodie neighbourhood and enjoy a leisurely stroll to the tour tastings with stories of local history, art and culture to entertain along the way. This is your chance to meet local chefs, food artisans and business owners and to taste the products they are famous for.

Your professional guide will introduce you to 6 food artisans in Inglewood, the birthplace of the city of Calgary. You'll taste saskatoon berries and bison, and salad and a seasonal main course at one of Calgary's top restaurants. You'll learn about spices, participate in a knife demonstration, eat carrot cake in an unexpected location, and toast the day in with an appetizer and cocktail designed just for our guests.

This tour starts at 11:00 am on Thursdays and Fridays, lasts 3 hours, and involves walking about 8 blocks. All food, drinks, taxes and restaurant gratuities are included.
