This small-group walk is a great way to learn about the history of the famous natural wonder known as Exit Glacier. Walk alongside one of our knowledgable guides and learn about the glacier as we see it — a moving, massive organism left over from the last ice age.Description
Learn how this magnificent chunk of ice has affected the geology, biology, and even the weather in the beautiful Resurrection Valley. We’ll hike through a history book of nature as we make our way up to the face of this stunning glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.
Our naturalists come in two forms — local residents who have spent their lives learning about the history and geology of the area and our most knowledgable glacier guides who have demonstrated a serious capacity for interpreting the vast amounts of amazing information that we take in while on the ice.
We love this little walk. The area presents a magnificent opportunity to teach about natural history, and it's fun for our guides to be able to talk extensively about one of the things we love the most — Exit Glacier!Highlights
