See the fairy-tale castle Neuschwanstein, the model for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle, take a cable car up Germany’s highest mountain, Zugspitze. You can take an optional excursion to Austria to walk across the highline179 – the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world!Description
In the morning, you will board our coach and will be driven to the number one attraction in Germany, the fairy-tale castle Neuschwanstein! We will arrive first thing in the morning when it’s quiet and before it fills up with thousands of tourists. From the parking area, it’s a 20-minute up the hill to the castle. If you don’t feel like walking, you can also take the horse-and-carriage option (Uphill trip 6 euros / downhill trip 3 euros). Skip the line with express ticket and save precious vacation time and unnecessary stress by standing in the line for hours waiting to get a ticket to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle.
In the afternoon, we board the coach and make our way to the beautiful Eibsee lake. You can walk around Eibsee (7.2 km or 4.5 miles total distance, approx. 2 hours) and enjoy the truly awesome views of the clear mountain lake and the mighty cliffs of the Waxenstein ridge, which leads up to the world-renowned Zugspitze mountain. You also have the chance to take the cable car to the summit of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain at 2,962 meters (9,718 feet) above sea level, for breathtaking views of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
Afterwards, join us on an excursion to Highline179 in Austria, where you have the chance to walk along the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world! After a couple of hours, we will make our way back to Eibsee, pick everyone up and make our way home.Highlights
