Description:

Take the Secret History 1-hour walking tour at 1pm to get a unique insight into the alternative story of the Hall. Opened in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s most iconic buildings.

Your knowledgeable and informative guides have their own story to tell and will take you on a fascinating journey around this Grade I-listed building. You’ll see the stunning auditorium where the world’s stars have performed, the loading bay beneath the building, the breathtaking view from the gallery, along with areas that are not usually open to the public.

Because the Secret History tour uncovers the unexpected history of the Hall, it is recommended to visitors who are already familiar with the Hall, its rich history and legendary performances. First-time visitors are recommended to take the Grand Tour.

The tour ends at 2pm.

More information:

Upon arrival at the Hall, you’ll enter the Royal Albert Hall through Door 12, exchange your voucher for your tickets at the Box Office and wait at the meeting point to take your pre-booked Secret History Tour.

Every effort will be made to accommodate individuals on the tours, whatever their requirements. All tour routes cover a moderate distance and can involve stairs. However, lifts are available should they be required and all tour routes are accessible to guests who use wheelchairs.

Please note: The Royal Albert Hall is a working building so the content of the tours may vary, and due to events, some areas may occasionally be closed.
